HISTORY

Having 24 years experience under his belt, Stamatis Lomvardos opened The Jolly Fryer on the 24 April 1986, with his wife Kay and eldest son Nick by his side. In July 1987 the second brother Andreas joined his father and brothers in running the family business. In 2000, Spiros the youngest brother joined the Jolly Fryer, so Stamatis retired.

The 3 brothers continued to run the shop, also with the help of Karl and Maria, both having been with the Jolly Fryer for many years. In April 2006, the Jolly Fryer celebrated its 20th birthday by offering free chips to every customer. We did this to show our appreciation to the public and to show that we are part of the community.

In July 2007 a small refit was done including a new floor, ceiling, lighting and a new safety system for the frying range. Recently the Jolly Fryer has added a new menu board sign and CCTV system.
